Chandrababu Naidu gets into election mood, announces new schemes

Chandrababu Naidu led TDP government is constructing housing projects for the poor people in all districts at a charge of Rs 35,000 crore.

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on this Monday has ruled out holding midterm elections to the AP state Assembly. To prop the point, he stated that the Andhra Pradesh government would finish up the rural housing project before the 2019 general elections. The AP government is building housing projects for the poor in all districts at a price of Rs 35,000 crore. Chandrababu Naidu also declared that all houses which were already constructed without the permission after 2014 would be regularized. He even said that the Pelli Kanuka (marriage gift) for poor families will be instigated from 1st January. The state government will pay 20 percent of a specified amount before the wedding and 80 percent on the day of the wedding.
